Many congratulations to Dylan Flanagan (4th year project student in the Lennox Lab) for winning 2nd prize at the SCI National Undergraduate Research Symposium for a presentation he gave on his Master's work in the Lennox Lab, entitled "Synthesis of 2-Fluoroallyl DABCOnium Salts from (Z)-β-Fluoro-Vinyl Iodonium Salts”

Congratulations to Stephen Sweeting (1st)  and Charu Bansal (2nd) for winning poster prizes at the RSC Fluorine postgraduate meeting.

Ali organised the annual RSC Fluorine postgraduate meeting at the School of Chemistry this year on April 1st - 2nd. Over 60 participants enjoyed talks from 12 PhD/Postdocs and 3 international plenary speakers, as well as 15 poster presentations and a banquet dinner at Goldney hall. The winner of the RSC Fluorine award, Prof Xiao Shen from Wuhan University gave his award lecture during the conference.

The 5 th  iteration of Bristol Electrosynthesis Meeting, organised by the Lennox Lab, was held on March 30th. With over 90 participants in attendance, the meeting has gone from strength to strength. Presentations were given on a variety of topics in the field from PhD/postdoc, industry and 2 plenaries, including Zach Wickens from Wisconsin, USA.
